Dakota Torrin Bentz is a traditional artist, designer, and an aspiring tattoo artist based in Tempe, Arizona. She was born on August 26, 2005 in Mesa, Az and has been raised in the Sonoran Desert all her life. Dakota has always loved the arts ever since she was a child but started taking it seriously around the age of 16. She graduated high school the year 2023 and attended Mesa Community College the following fall semester. She started out majoring in mechanical engineering then switched to graphic design the next spring after realizing that she would rather live to work instead of working to live. In her freetime she has always loved to paint. Her favorite mediums consist of acrylic, watercolor, and gouache. Dakota has always painted nature from landscapes, to birds, to plants, to skulls, but she has a surrealist approach to her art. It is hard as an artist to make enough money to live so she has decided to take her skills into the tattoo industry as well. The tattoo industry is a separate world from hers but she has been adjusting to the new styles while also balancing a graphic design degree. After college she wants to pursue a career in freelance design and art while tattooing on the side but only time will tell.
